Karnataka Board conducts the 12th standard board exams annually in the month of March. This year too there were a tremendous amount of students who appeared for the exams. The results were scheduled to be out early in the month of May. But due to the delay occurred in the evaluation camp, the scheduled date of announcement is shifted to another date. In 2016, around 5,98,264 students participated in the Karnataka PUC Exam. The overall pass percentage was 91 percent that year. Over the years, we have seen constant growth in the number of participants in the yearly Karnataka PUC Examinations. These examinations in Karnataka is held by Karnataka Board of Secondary Education. It was found in 1966 and has its headquarters in Bangalore. The DPUE, affiliated to the Government of Karnataka, is responsible for implementing higher secondary education in the state. It functions under primary and secondary education departments.
